Raising funds for The Variety Club North West Children's Charity

WOW! What a fantastic day and it exceeded all our best hopes as it did for Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Lots of new faces as giant full colour banners on the front of the pub, donated by Chris Palmer from Carrick Signs, let everyone know about the big day.

To start things going with a swing for the younger ones the Bury's Dinatones dancing troop showing how well all their hard work, dedication and practice paid off with a fantastic display. Everyone really enjoyed it and a BIG thankyou from everyone here!

The Variety Club Children's Charity

For 60 years Variety Club Children's Charity has been helping sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people.

The Variety Club has an illustrious history stretching back to the golden age of British entertainment. The charity has raised over £200 million in the last 6 decades and improved the lives of more than a million children and young people.

We provide Sunshine Coaches, electric wheelchairs, outings to exciting places, equip children's hospitals and help in many other ways. This is made possible because volunteers from many walks of life give generously of their time and money, supported by a galaxy of celebrities from showbusiness and sport.

We concentrate on giving help where help is needed, and being the small change which makes a huge difference to the lives of children and young people across the country.
